This year due to the Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 Pandemic and its consequences, the iCAIR event will be held as an online seminar. Selected students will have the opportunity to get to know some of the latest and most innovative open research questions in the field of financial mathematics and actuarial science. These topics will be presented by a variety of well known professors and iCAIR faculty members, from universities in Canada, Australia and Germany. The research topics introduced during the iCAIR Online Seminar will serve as topics for either a master thesis or a chapter of a Ph.D. dissertation for students that are successful during the case study competition. These students will have the opportunity to work with any of the iCAIR faculty members, depending on the topic chosen for their research. In addition, iCAIR member universities will also be introduced and could become future host institutions for international research stays.
iCAIR Online Seminar participants will also have the chance to get to know the iCAIR sponsor industries. High standing German companies in insurance and asset management that could open doors for potential internships or future employment. Experts from these selected industries will describe the highlights of each of these companies.
The iCAIR program has 12 positions available for students with a background in mathematical finance and insurance. Submit your application by the deadline of July 31, 2020. Selected applicants will be contacted directly by e-mail.
